All Morgan Electrics guitars feature 100% Nitrocellulose finishes applied in very thin coats to preserve the natural tonal qualities of the wood. We never use polyurethane paints or fillers, which can dampen resonance.

Our instruments authentically recreate the feel and look of guitars that rolled off the factory line in the late '50s and early '60s. Let the wood out!

CLEAN 

Our pristine finish that showcases the beauty of the instrument. Clean with a very soft cotton cloth and fine polishing compound only. Never use chemicals, microfiber, or other non-nitro friendly materials. We recommend allowing the neck to develop its patina naturally rather than sanding, as this will permanently alter the feel.

RELIC-READY

An ultra-thin nitrocellulose finish designed to age gracefully with play. This finish will develop character relatively quickly with normal use. Temperature changes may naturally create "checking" (fine crackling in the finish), but we recommend letting your guitar's unique wear pattern develop organically through regular playing.

CASE QUEEN RELIC

Features natural finish checking with aged hardware and plastics. Like our other finishes, Case Queen Relics will continue to age beautifully with time. Follow the same gentle cleaning instructions as our Clean finish.

TRADITIONAL RELIC

Our most aged option, featuring authentic play wear, buckle rash, dings, and scratches that mimic decades of real-world use. Gives you that perfectly broken-in feel from day one.
